Privacy & cookies.

Your trust matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what information Caryoca collects when you visit www.caryoca.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website is run by Caryoca ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. You can contact us about anything privacy-related at info@caryoca.com.
Information you give us
When you join the Caryoca Club waitlist or ask for fit picks, we collect:
- your email address;
- your first name, if you choose to give it;
- your preferences — what you're most excited about, and any coverage and support choices;
- the look you asked to hear about, if you used "Notify me" in the gallery;
- the date and time you signed up, and whether you agreed to receive marketing emails.
We use this to email you about our launch, early access and new collections, to send the fit picks you asked for, and to understand which pieces our community is most excited about. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your details are stored securely on our web host (Fasthosts, UK) and in our email inbox. We do not sell your personal information. If we later move our mailing list to an email service provider, it will process your details on our behalf and under our instructions.
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Every email we send includes a simple way to unsubscribe — or just reply "unsubscribe", or write to info@caryoca.com.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host's servers record basic technical information for security and to keep the site running, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. To protect our forms from spam, we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address for up to one hour — we never store the address itself.
Cookies and advertising
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Caryoca uses them in two ways:
Essential
Your browser may remember small preferences on our site, such as which gallery filter you chose. These are needed for the site to work and do not identify you.
Advertising — Google AdSense
We may show advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before any advertising cookies are used. That choice is presented by Google's certified consent message, and you can change it at any time using the "Privacy and cookie settings" link that appears at the bottom of the page once ads are active.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google Ad Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Other services we use
- Google Fonts — our typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them.
- Instagram — links to our Instagram profile take you to a site run by Meta, which has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and EU GDPR), you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time;
- object to or restrict how we use your information;
- ask us to transfer your information to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email info@caryoca.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our website and waitlist are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time — for example, when we launch our shop. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
